With their vision, wisdom and outstanding managing ability, they lead their enterprises to become the leaders of various industries. They have powerful sense of social responsibility, not only to their shareholders, but also to their staff and the whole society....

1. Nandan Nilekani, Co-Chairman of Infosys Technologies Ltd

Nandan M. Nilekani is the Co-Chairman of the Board of Directors of Infosys Technologies Limited. He is one of the founders of Infosys and has served as a director on the company’s board since its inception in 1981.


In January 2006, Nandan became one of the youngest entrepreneurs to join 20 global leaders on the prestigious World Economic Forum (WEF) Foundation Board. He is listed as one of the 100 most influential people in the world by Time Magazine, 2006.


Nandan is the recipient of several awards. He was the Forbes Asia "Businessman of the Year" in 2006. He, along with Infosys founder (and currently non-executive chairman) N. R. Narayana Murthy, received Fortune magazine’s ‘Asia’s Businessmen of the Year 2003’ award. He was named among the ‘World’s most respected business leaders’ in 2002 and 2003, according to a global survey by Financial Times and PricewaterhouseCoopers. Nandan was also awarded the Corporate Citizen of the Year award at the Asia Business Leader Awards (2004) organized by CNBC. In 2005, Nandan was awarded the prestigious Joseph Schumpeter prize for innovative services in economy, economic sciences and politics.


2. Jon Niermann, Asia- Pacific president of Electronic Arts

A resident of Hong Kong for eight years now, Jon Niermann worked for Disney in Asia until the call came from Electronic Arts. Jon Niermann says that “we want people to embrace that type of creative thinking” "We want to be that company that provides interactive entertainment across Asia..."He made greats achievements to the  interactive entertainment and games software for console systems for EA.


3. Carlos Brito, CEO of Anheuser-Busch InBev

Carlos Brito (b. 1960) is the inaugural CEO of the current no. 1 brewer, Anheuser-Busch InBev.He held various positions in Finance, Operations, and Sales, before being appointed Chief Executive Officer in January 2004. After InBev was formed in August 2004, Brito was nominated Zone President North America and he moved into the company's top spot of Chief Executive Officer in December 2005, where he implemented a strategy based on cost-cutting.In 2008, after successful takeover of Anheuser-Busch, Brito took the CEO position of the enlarged group.


4. Ulrich Gwinner, President of Steelcase Asia Pacific

According to Gwinner, workspaces are no longer just desk arrangements but have evolved into trendy and futuristic comfortable spaces.He is devoted to creating stress-free workspaces and enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of employees with our unique products and services. Studies have proven that ergonomically designed products reduce stress and improve comfort levels at the workplace.


5. Michael Issenberg ,Chairman and Chief Operating Officer of Accor Asia Pacific

Since joining Accor in 1994, Michael Issenberg has played a pivotal role in the industry, especially in China and India.He plans to obtain a portfolio of 180 properties in China by 2010 and Accor will tap into one of Asia’s fastest growing tourism markets, according to Michael Issenberg, chairman and chief operating officer of Accor Asia-Pacific. Michael Issenberg sees China as “ an absolute priority.”


6. Andrew Flavell, Head of Microsoft Game Studios Asia

Andrew Flavell  Head of Microsoft Game Studios Asia We are thrilled about the launch of Crazy Mouse, the first Xbox LIVE Arcade title developed at the Chengdu Incubation Center," said Andrew Flavell, general manager of Microsoft Game Studio Asia."Microsoft takes great pride in working with and supporting the local software industry and the success of Crazy Mouse further demonstrates how working together can deliver amazing wins for Microsoft, Ultizen and China's games software ecosystem."


7. Mr. Dhanin Chearavanont, Chairman and CEO of Charoen Pokphand Group

Dhanin was just 25 when he took over the family's small seed shop. Transformed it into one of the world's largest suppliers of animal feed. Then successfully branched into retail and telecom and other businesses. Charoen Pokphand Group


8. Mr. Toshiaki Egashira, President and Representative Director of Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance

Mr. Toshiaki Egashira was named President and Representative Director in Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Group Holdings, Inc., effective April 1, 2008. Prior to that, he served as President, Executive President and Representative Director in Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Company, Ltd. He served as Director in President's Office, Chief Director of China, Chief Director of Kanagawa & Shizuoka, Managing Executive Officer and Chief Executive Officer in Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Company, Ltd.


9. Li Ning, Chairman and Founder of Li-Ning Company Limited

Li is most famous for winning 6 medals at the 1984 Summer Olympics, including 3 gold medals (in floor exercise, pommel horse, and rings), 2 silver medals, and a bronze medal. In 1982, he won six of the seven medals awarded at the Sixth World Cup Gymnastic Competition, earning him the title "Prince of gymnastics".


Li retired from sporting competition in 1988, and in 1990 he founded the Li-Ning Company Limited, which sells footwear and sporting apparel in China. Li remains chairman of the company's board of directors.


Li was inducted into the International Gymnastics Hall of Fame in 2000, becoming the first Chinese inductee.


At the 2008 Summer Olympics Li Ning ignited the cauldron at the opening ceremony after being hoisted high into the air with cables and miming running around the high portion of the stadium.


10. Zhang Xiangqing, President of Tianjin Rockcheck Steel Group

Zhang Xiangqing has won nationwide applause by donating 100 million yuan to the quake-hit Sichuan province. Orphaned by the Tangshan earthquake 30 years ago, he has become one of the most generous donors to the recent disaster.


All together, he has donated 100 million yuan to the disaster.


Zhang Xiangqing is the president of Tianjin Rockcheck Steel Group in Tianjin municipality in north China. He started his business in 1989 as a vendor and then became involved in the steel industry in 1991. Behind all his business success, stands the memory of the 7.8-magnitude earthquake more than 30 years ago in the city of Tangshan that left him orphaned.


He says that he wants to adopt 100 orphans and another 3,000 older people and children and bring them to his company's school.


He has devoted himself to charity work, especially in the fields of education and public service. He won the "Outstanding Contributions to Chinese Charities" award by the China Charity Federation in 2006.
