Deperini Daniela, Architect – Professor, Italy - Trieste University PUG, delivers a speech on 2011 GOS Round Table Conference

Topic:  Clouds Cross the Borders: Experience Like a Global Outsource. A Low-energy Skyscraper As a Model for the Future

Outlines:

INTRODUCTION The analysis of the present world development model, makes us aware of different problems: -such pattern of behaviour is energivourous, -mainly based on a not-renewable-energy consumption (petrol oil) -highly polluting

It should be a good thing treasures this experience, promoting new development strategies, by filtering all the mistakes that men did in the past.

SWITCH OFF!

The last Summitaimed at facilitating the building of Global Outsourcing cities. Pollution prevention and Waste Recycling Architectural Technology were some of the goals.

GOALS

With this speech, as architect, I would like to present a project that offers some suggestion to design both hi-tech Emerging Industries buildings and...green/save-energy constructions at the same time, obtaining advantages in quality life, and (especially) in output

I will going to show a low energy-skyscraper as example of a planned future, rid of pollution: the Coucil House2 inMelbourne(Australia)

The CH2 prototype: “Eastgate”HARARE CITY-ZIMBAWE

THE MODEL FOR “EASTGATE” THE TERMITARIUM

The termitarium, to maintain a constant internal micro climate (30/31°C) uses -outside daily /night T°excursion to activate convective movement of air -stability of earth thermal mass

ANNUAL SAVE ENERGY CONSUMPTION

saving in energy

respect CH1 consumption

CONCLUSION

The design approach needs specific professional qualities, starting from

architectural concept.

As shows the CH2, the planning process should be strictly managed with the climate place design

(bio climatic architecture)...something more that merely use of solar panels and air conditioning steel/glass skyscrapers!
