Closing Remarks of International Economist Mr. Zheng Xiongwei

Your Excellency Mr. Dominique de Villepin, Former Frime Minister of France, honorable Mr. Guo Gengmao, Acting Governor of Henan Province, respectable guests, ladies and gentlement:

First of all, I'd like to express my heartfelt thanks to the speakers this morning for their excellent speeches which enable us to feel the infinite charm and unlimited potential of international outsourcing.

I'd love to avail myself of this opportunity, on behalf of the intenational host, to convey my sincere thanks to the Government of Henan Province and Zhengzhou Municipal Government for your active support, to the distinguished guests from home and abroad for your enthusiasm and love and to the domestic and foreign media for your coverage.

International outsourcing can be divided into international production outsourcing and international service outsourcing. The new round of international outsourcing is characterized by multi-national service outsourcing which enjoys optimistic prospects. In the next few years, the global service outsourcing market will grow at a rate of 30% to 40% and is expected to reach 5 trillion U.S. dollars in 2020.

China's service outsourcing industry is developing rapidly with huge market space for development. According to the statistics of the Ministry of Commerce, China, the amount of contract performance in service outsourcing exports stood at 2.1 billion U.S. dollars in 2007, an increase of nearly 120% compared with that in 2005. In 2008, although the international economic situation is very tough, China's service outsourcing export still maintains a rapid growth. The amount of contract performance in service outsourcing exports from January to August 2008 reached 1.9 billion U.S. dollars, 17% up over the same period last year.

In the face of the global financial crisis, international outsourcing can not be left alone.

The Global Outsourcing Summit makes a special appeal to governments of various countries to revitalize the global economy and strengthen international cooperation in the field of global outsourcing to realize the common interests. Enterprises around the world should work together to actively promote the healthy development of international outsourcing industry, and give into full play the important role of international outsourcing in the revitalization of the global economy.

International outsourcing is a new subject in the world, so there are many questions we need to answer:

Will the share of international outsourcing reduce or increase in the midst of the financial crisis? How will the fate of international outsourcing change? How do different cities develop international outsourcing strategies for differentiated  competition? How should such cities as Zhengzhou start to develop outsourcing business? How should outsourcing enterprises enter the international outsourcing market? How can they maintain long-term cooperation with international customers to upgrade outsourcing? What problems are the excellent outsourcing enterprises faced with? How should they build their own internal organization and marketing network? What is the relationship between the international market of the services sector and China's domestic market? How does China's domestic demand enhance service levels?

These questions need clear and useful answers.

We are looking forward to "heated debate, lively discussion and active interaction" in this afternoon's session.
