Paul Anthony Rahme, Managing Director of Giunti Labs Asia Pacific Pty Limited Good morning, Your Excellency Mr. Dominique de Villepin, Former Frime Minister of France, honorable General Christian Quesnot, respectable Mr. Guo Gengmao, Acting Governor of Henan Province, Mr. Wang Wenchao, Secretary of Zhengzhou Municipal Committee of the CPC, Mr. Zhao Jiancai, Mayor of Zhengzhou, and dear leaders and participating representatives.
I am very grateful to Asia-Pacific CEO Association, International Outsourcing Center, Henan Provincial Government and Zhengzhou Municipal Government for your invitation.
My name is Paul Rahme and I am responsible for the entire business operations for Giunti Labs Asia Pacific. Giunti Labs specialises in New Generation eLearning & Mobile Solutions with many upcoming technologies in our R&D Lab. I would like to introduce and explain how Knowledge & Content Outsourcing is an important part of our business.
As part of the Giunti Group, we have a 512 year old publishing heritage and our key strengths as an organisation include: a) A company DNA within the publishing and content production industry; b) Experience in large international implementations with many large clients worldwide; c) Globally active in eLearning standards with official roles in all major international standards bodies; d) Strong international presence thanks to a rapidly growing customer base and partner network offering local services and support around the world.
Giunti Labs is the largest privately owned European R&D lab with active participation in more than 50 large scale international eLearning R&D projects. Our Knowledge based Content Management solutions encompass Content Creation – allowing both authoring and re-authoring of knowledge, Content Storage – allows intelligent management of knowledge & content and Content Delivery – ensuring the most appropriate method of delivering knowledge as and when required. Our Mobile Knowledge Content solutions are deliverable to over 90% of the mobile handset market and are compatible with all Corporate eLearning standards and work both in an online and offline environment – with full synchronisation and tracking of Corporate Learning. Most recently our solutions have been utilised in partnership with Ericsson in Africa for the "Steps of Immediate Care" Research Program, delivering best practice knowledge to Midwives in the field. As you may or may not know the mobile phone network in Africa is more reliable and more readily available than the traditional land line telephone network. In this example knowledge is stored on each device wirelessly with situational use being tracked by synchronisation once in suitable coverage again which allows use across all villages and not just villages with reliable mobile coverage.
We also have a large UK based Financial Institution. The project is to initially include 8,000 users with a longer term target of 160,000 users. We also have another project with a large US Government organisation which has an International presence and minimal access to PCs for employees. This project is to keep 300,000 users up to date with access to important secure knowledge and content.
UKS is a specialist Content Services company with many years experience in both educational and professional environments. They are headquartered in the Dubai Knowledge Village in Dubai (UAE) and have their Knowledge Factory in Beirut (Lebanon). UKS have a team of over 120 multicultural professionals with clients that span across 20 countries around the world. They have a unique business objectives based approach that can also incorporate Mobile Technologies as well as Game-based learning. The reason for mentioning UKS today is due to their recent acquisition of a Shanghai based organisation which is a similar path Giunti Labs wishes to investigate.
Edutech is another Giunti Labs Content Partner headquartered in India, which is another example of how we incorporate outsourced content production services within our business processes (since 1991 and based on partnerships with leading technologies).
What are we looking for in China? We are of the belief that outsourcing part of our turnkey business processes to include the right local partners is paramount to success in China & India. Just as UKS has acquired a company in Shanghai, we are interested in developing our reach into the growing China market in particular with our mobile solutions and also in conjunction with UKS with regards to how our new generation technologies can be taken to market either through partnership or Joint Venture. We are keen to commit to China and are looking for ways to do so economically.
We certainly hope that our involvement in this wonderful event will assist us in our objectives with China. We have many exciting and very relevant technologies available – we just need the right partner!
Please feel free to approach me for any further discussion and details and also note my email addresses at the bottom of the slide.
Thank you! |
