The Alaninol molecules forms almost squared tetrameric units that self-organizes chirally on the Cu(100) surface up to reach full monolayer coverage at RT.

The chiral phase appears (LEED & Surf. XRD) as soon as small molecular aggregate are formed; small aggregate consists of four molecules (STM).

ARPES with circular polarized SR gives a fingerprint of the chirality of the electronic states of the system.
