New Economic Long March for the Asia-Pacific CEOs

[March 22th, 2006]In the opening ceremony of the "International Cooperation Summit for Asia-Pacific CEOs & Provincial Governors and Mayors" held in Xinghewan, Beijing on March 27th., Mr. Zheng Xiongwei, Executive Chairman of International Cooperation Summit for Asia-Pacific CEOs & Provincial Governors and Mayors announced that for the summit to produce even better social and economic effect, the Asia-Pacific CEO Association made an important decision --- launch a New Economic Long March for the Asia-Pacific CEOs on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the success of the Red Army's Long March.


There's a custom in the summit --- to conduct a survey on the hostcountry according to its social and economic condition before the summit. The New Economic Long March for the Asia-Pacific CEOs is aimed at the existence of regional gap in China's international cooperation. Its purpose is to facilitate all-round international cooperation. It's a big step in the Asia-Pacific CEO Association's effort to promote the development of China’s remote and border areas.


Members of the "2006 Asia-Pacific CEOs' Red Trip of Cooperation in China" consist of multi-nationals in the Asia-Pacific region, listed companies, famous CEOs, chairmen, general managers and world-famous economists. In a word, the event is global , economical, high-level and well-organized.


By organizing such an event, the Asia-Pacific CEO Association aims to ride the wave of China's development strategy in the new era, to help the world better understand the characteristics of China's economic gap, to propagate the Red Road and to discover new commercial opportunities together. And also, we hope to bring investment to China's remote and border areas, to realize communication in terms of economy, technology, management and market, to introduce conducive intellectual support to the Red Road, to promote the formation of new industrial growth point, to realize leap-forward development in west China and to facilitate balance in China's economic development.

Now, the association has listed fifteen cities in seven provinces as candidates for the host city. They are Ruijin and Yudu of Jiangxi Province, Chenzhou of Hunan Province, Quanzhou of Guangxi Province, Zunyi and Maotai of Guizhou Province, Panzhihua, Kangding, Aba and Jiuzhaigou of Sichuan Province, Longnan of Gansu Province, Guyuan of Ningxia Province, Huining of Gansu Province, Wuqi and Yan'an of Shanxi Province.


For chairmen, CEOs, general managers who are used to city life, vast meadows and snowy mountains are undoubtedly attractive. By conquering the meadows and snowy mountains, members of the "2006 Asia-Pacific CEOs' Red Trip of Cooperation in China" will be a unique scenery there. In the meantime, for the beautiful and mysterious land with huge commercial opportunities, the Asia-Pacific CEOs with internatioanl capital make the "2006 Asia-Pacific CEOs' Red Trip of Cooperation in China" extremely attractive. This event will attract the attention of the international economic world as well as people in commercial industry, financial industry and economic field to the social and economic development in areas along the path of the Long March. Thus, it will bring Asia-Pacific capital to facilitate the economic development of west China. The "Westward Movement" of Asia-Pacific will stimulate China's eastern capital to move westwards.
