Tang: There are several questions for Mr. Wirt. First, how do you look at the competitive relationship among China, India and other countries in undertaking international service outsourcing business? Will China become the key area in the next round of international outsourcing transfer? Second, Guangzhou will actively take over the service outsourcing business, just in line with the policies Director Xiao mentioned earlier. What efforts do you think should be made to promote your company and Guangzhou in service outsourcing? Would you please talk about your views on this subject?
Mr. Wirt: I have said that China and India are very attractive countries. This issue is not just related to any specific country, for different countries can be complementary to each other. China should build some excellent brands. So far as I have mentioned, efforts made by China's service industries and organizations are very important for the establishment of the Chinese brands. Compared to India, China is moving a step forward, especially in the IT industry.
In the IT industry, I think China is making more and more strong brands. China has very strong national advantages, and India may have individual advantages, while there is a large loss of talents. For the Chinese cities, from an overall IT perspective, the wastage rate is huge, and I have just mentioned the reasons.
I have said that we will evaluate the optimization of Guangzhou and many other cities in China to find how we can continue to cooperate well. We also established a research and development center in 2006. Now there are many good facilities in Guangzhou, and we will also establish a second base in China. Therefore we need to ensure that there are more spots and more investments here. In this way, we can make more contributions to Guangzhou and ourselves as well. |
