Gerry Jones

CEO of Gerry Jones International


Gerry Jones is an architect living in Carefree, Arizona and heads Gerry Jones International, Inc.  He is currently working on his 312th mountain residence. During World War II he was a sergeant in the US Marine Corps where he was trained in elite Scouts/Snipers, fought three major battles against the Japanese and was wounded in action.  He trained marines in self defense and survival techniques during the Korean War.


Mr. Jones lived in North China during the Chinese Communist-Nationalists war.  Later in 1982 he returned to China at the invitation of the Chinese government to lecture.  He started a business there, Sanda Technology Company, putting together joint venture and technology transfers between Eastern and Chinese industry.  He also lectured in China and the U.S. on Buddhism, Islam, China Post-Mao Politics, Chinese Contemporary Art and Poetry and other topics.  Mr. Jones is a collector of Chinese transitional, political protest and revolutionary art. He lives with his wife Leslie, also an art collector, and his dog "Dan Dan“ in Scottsdale, Arizona.
